Construction Planner, Devon or Cornwall
Salary: £50k-£65k per annum plus car/car allowance and attractive benefits (depending on experience)
Role: A successful top tier main contractor with a strong pipeline of work, operating throughout the Devon and Cornwall regions is looking for a Construction Planner to join their business.
As a Planner/Senior Planner you’ll be supporting the team in managing the preconstruction or construction phase to determine the construction sequences.
- Working independently and collaboratively to build a fully compliant NEC & JCT programmes which reflects known industry outputs against the quantifiable data produced by taking off quantities from drawings, considering the sequential build requirements, site logistics, scaffold/temporary electric schedules and compilation of preliminaries.
- Produce a fully logic linked programme, from procurement, inclusive of design, approvals, lead in periods, construction activities both Build and MEP, commissioning periods and handover requirements.
- Produce/input into the internal planners reporting pack for the monthly commercial meeting which includes, rescheduling, drop line and progressed items to with percentage complete.
- Be adaptable, willing to analyse and challenge information received from within the team and/or from the; supply chain; Multi-Disciplinary Consultants; or Client.
Individual: Applicants will have the following attributes:
- Experience of planning digitally using Asta Power project.
- Experience of complex construction project at both preconstruction and construction stages, in particular public sector, government funded projects including schools, healthcare and MOD/MOJ schemes ranging from £10m-£50m.
- Experience of preparing and writing ITT responses for the formal bid submission.
- Ability to review progress on site with the delivery team and update programmes live with team members.
- Ability to investigate and interrogate programmes from the subcontractors, and incorporate into the main construction programme looking to mitigate any delays.
- Individual will ideally come from a Site/Project Management background. Candidates looking to transition into Planning from a construction, delivery role will be considered.
