Are you an empathic and innovative individual with a passion for supporting pupils, particularly with special educational needs?
GSL Education are currently working closely with a lovely school in Southampton . This friendly SEMH School is focused strongly on providing support and care for their pupils. The school aims to meet the needs of secondary aged (11-16) boys and girls who have difficulty managing social interactions, positive relationships and recognizing and regulating their emotions.
Working in a SEMH school can be challenging. We need the right person with the right attitude.
We are looking for a calm, caring and highly motivated individual who is very understanding with challenging behaviour. Experience in a school environment is desirable but work experience that can be adapted is accepted.
This Role includes,
- Supporting the teaching and learning of SEMH pupils
- Working closely with pupils that display challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties
- Working in classrooms supporting Teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants
- Full time is preferred but part time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
- Hours 8:30am-3:30pm
