Job Title: Programme Manager - Assured Positioning Navigation and Timing
Location: Hybid working and willing to travel to our Harlow site at least 1 time a week
Business Context
Raytheon UK is looking for a Programme Manager to work in the APNT area of the Sensors Business. Reporting to the Programme Manager heading up the new products for APNT, this role requires managing a portfolio of programmes for new products with substantial growth, hence into high volume manufacture, and supporting the management of key internal investments. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to interface with customers, major suppliers, industry and internal senior stakeholders. The work location will primarily be based out of Harlow, but will require visits to other Raytheon Technologies, Customer, Supplier, UK and international sites as required.
Main Duties:
- Support the organisation for the new products into volume manufacture and assure the programme, programme element or pursuit is organised and executed effectively to meet commitments to the Customer and company.
- Lead the APNT production programmes, which is across multi-sites. The role involves leading customer funded programmes, individual pursuits to help grow the APNT business.
- Interface with the development team
- to ensure any customer feedback/design improvements is communicated
- Support the management of key investments ensuring the necessary investments both inventory and capital required are implemented for seamless manufacture.
- Support bids to grow this business
- Interface with customers globally.
- Provide leadership to cross-functional programme teams and IPTs engaged in programme planning and execution.
- Implement PMX best practice and manage by example to instil flawless programme execution behaviours and processes
- Conduct a regular tempo of downwards and upwards governance engagements for the programme, programme element or pursuit.
- Sustain collaborative relationships with peers within the Customer, strategic Partners, Suppliers and across Raytheon consistent with the programme, programme element or pursuit shared vision.
- Able to manage and work within agreed budgets, forecast cost to complete, identify opportunities for cost savings as the projects progresses. Responsible for programme P&L.
- Identify programme risks and opportunities, quantify and produce mitigation, capture and contingency plans
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Degree qualified in a technical, manufacturing or project management related discipline, or with equivalent non-academic experience
- Relevant, experience of successful manufacturing programme execution in a highly regulated and/or controlled environment
- Demonstrate and advocate High Performing Culture leadership behaviours
- A self-starting and capable manager, able to effect change through the matrix organisation, even where direct hierarchical control does not exist
- Supportive, with the character to navigate sensitive and pressurised situations to overcome delivery challenges
- Able to engage with technical experts with credibility and understanding
- Drive to create change and continuously improve performance
- Creative and open to innovation to solve problems
Desirable:
- Experience of working in relevant domains and programme managing customer programmes.
