Job description
We are looking for a permanent sous chef for Indian takeaway who provides specialist Gujarati food and also a specialist in Indian sweets which are cooked fresh for our customers.
The sous chef will mainly be responsible for the following tasks-
- Being creative and suggesting new ideas to the head chef.
- Working closely with kitchen staff to bring the best out of flavours.
- Creating and designing plates to bring the WOW factor to final prepared products.
- Make sure that a high level of quality cooking is produced.
- Managing H&S within the kitchen and reporting any issues to the Head Chef.
- Training the kitchen staff on recipes produced and supporting them whenever needed.
- Deputise for the Head Chef when needed.
