Job description
Premier Galvanizing are currently looking for general operatives to join our site in Hull.
We are recruiting for various roles and varied shift patterns including days and backs rotating and permanent night shift, working within our large galvanizing and powder coating plant on the full process systems from initial jigging of product through to galvanizing baths and final finishing in the fettling bay.
Shift Times
Days
- Week 1 - Mon - Fri - 5am - 1:30pm
- Week 2 - Mon - Fri - 1:30pm - 10pm
- EARLY FINISHES ON FRIDAY FOR BOTH SHIFTS

Your day to day
- General handling of steel products.
- Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
- Operation of overhead crane equipment.
- Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting.
- Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers.
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
What we are looking for:
- Positive people with a can do attitude.
- Someone who enjoys working in a manual environment where heavy lifting is part of the daily activities.
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or galvanizing environment would be desirable but is not essential.
What we offer
- Overtime is often available at weekends paid at time and a half.
- 40 hours per week (7 ½ working day with ½ paid break)
- Rate £11.27 per hour
- Overtime Time and half
- Bonus After 12 week trial - potential of up to £100 per week
- Holidays 25 days per year + bank holidays
