Weisberg Legal
Location
Bath, Somerset | United Kingdom
Job description
Are you a Commercial Property Solicitor looking to take your career to the next level?
Weisberg Legal are a modern high street law firm with traditional values and an emphasis on Commercial Property, Private Client and Residential Conveyancing. We have a reputation for exceptional client care and a supportive environment where our team is like an extended family. We have a first-class IT system which support flexible working and are dynamic enough to adopt the latest systems and efficiencies yet still retain the old fashioned charm of a friendly and traditional high street firm where a personal service means everything.
This is a senior role for a qualified solicitor in a growing firm with emphasis on the potential to become a non-equity director and significantly enhance your career as we look to expand and open an additional office.
The position is full time but equally there is the flexibility for the right candidate to work part time / hybrid / flexible role. You must have recent and substantial experience in Commercial Property, great organisational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with others and lead a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a leadership role or other senior position (such as COLP / COFA / MLRO ) but applications are invited from ambitious persons looking to develop their career to the next level.
You must be a solicitor registered with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority . The ideal candidate will be at least 3 years PQE with a strong understanding of all elements of commercial property law and the autonomy to manage your own diverse caseload and grow the business.
The mix of work is varied, interesting and reliable. We currently advise on all aspects of Commercial Property including Commercial Conveyancing / Landlord and Tenant / Small Business Acquisitions / Residential Estate Development Schemes (~ 2 – 20 plots) / Option Agreements / Enfranchisement / Right to Manage / Lease Extensions / Guarantees and Indemnities / Asset Transfers / Independent Legal Advice / Stamp Duty / Commercial Finance Security. Knowledge of general commercial law such as shareholder agreements and company law, or experience with contentious matters is particularly welcomed but not essential.
We pack a surprising punch for a “small firm” with high value deals and exciting clients. In recent years we have worked on multi million pound option agreements, purchase of an entire mixed use High Street, asset transfers between Local Authorities, representing a well known charity, transactions involving £7 million plus properties, a strong London and International client following, and the go to lawyers for a number of celebrities and sportspersons. There are some well known local developers wanting to instruct us which we are turning down until we have increased staffing capacity as client service is paramount to us.
We are looking for a candidate to progress to the next level with us.
Requirements:
We are offering a competitive package and a commitment to assist staff with personal development and career progression.
Whilst this is a full time, largely office-based position, hybrid, or part-time working is available to the correct candidate.
This role may also be of interest to relocators from larger cities, who are looking to retain a quality caseload and achieve a work life balance that is so often absent.
