The Company
One of the UK's leading property management organisations. The business is still experiencing growth despite the current covid-19 crisis. We are seeking a Data Analyst/Compliance Officer for our Operate division which is responsible for the management of over 40,000 residential and commercial properties across the UK. The role is primarily to monitor a range of databases, analyse data against compliance standards and provide monthly and quarterly reports to senior management.
The Role
Duties of the Compliance Officer can include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Professional Services Division by carrying out research, investigating claims and providing reports on liability as required
- Drafting letters and defenses in respect of claims under the guidance of the Specialist Caseworker
- Researching and drafting advice under the guidance of the Specialist Caseworker
- Undertaking training in respect of Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, and County Court Claims.
- Opening, managing and maintaining case files for Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, and County Court Claims
- Keeping up to date with current case law in respect of property management, undertaking research and providing guidance notes to the business
- Assisting the Specialist Caseworker, as required for the proper running of the Professional Services Department.
- Carrying out administrative tasks, as required.
- Providing support to other members of the Professional Service Division and the Senior leadership team, as required.
Required Skills
- Education to degree level or equivalent
- A good understanding of leasehold property law, be able to interpret lease clauses and provide advice in respect of the same
- A good knowledge of Word and Excel and experience in using a Case Management System
- Be able to work on their own initiative and drive their own workload forward under minimal supervision
- Be able to demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines
