POSITION: Accounting Clerk LOCATION: Whitby, ON MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies. We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing private company on track to double in size in the next 2 years who are on the hunt for an Accounting Clerk.
The Accounting Clerk will help to ensure that daily accounting functions
run accurately and effectively. The position will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks such as updating financial records, preparing reports, reconciling bank statements, processing business transactions like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.
Please note this is an on-site position Monday to Friday with core hours of 8:00am-5:00pm. REQUIREMENTS: - Post-secondary education related to accounting/finance preferred.
- 1+ years of related accounting experience - recent grads with some accounting work experience are encouraged to apply.
- Solid knowledge of accounting and financial reporting practices and principles.
- Exceptional organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical skill set.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience using QuickBooks Online is strongly preferred.
