DATS Recruitment seeks a Project Manager for Rossendale. The position offers a salary of GBP60,000 to GBP70,000 per annum, with a performance–related bonus of up to 5%. Our client has become the UK s leading weighing and metering specialist. They are a privately owned family company with over 40 years experience. As part of their continuing growth, they are now looking to appoint a staff Project Manager enabling them to manage a range of complex projects across the world.

Key role responsibilities of a Project Manager:
- Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, accurately, and professionally throughout the process.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, providing weekly updates to the management team as necessary.
- Coordinate project handovers from the sales team, ensuring all necessary information is obtained for successful project completion.
- Keep customers informed of project progress with weekly progress reports.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.
- Collaborate with our internal mechanical design team to ensure mechanical designs meet specifications and regulations.
- Work with the buyer to procure necessary parts for each job.
- Attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) and provide customer support as needed.
- Identify additional resource needs and manage resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide support to other departments when necessary.
- Oversee projects from start to finish, including commissioning and documentation handover.
Technical:
- Manage the Technical Requirement Document
- Conduct Machine Safety Assessments
- Prepare Equipment Datasheets
- Resolve Facility Technical issues internally and with customers
- Draft Initial Factory Acceptance Test (IFAT)
- Handle Document Transmittals including applicable Design Review Sheets (DRS) and Change Sheets (CS)
- Maintain the GC register
- Facilitate Technical meetings with customers
- Raise Technical Queries (TQs) on CEMAR
Commercial:
- Have knowledge of NEC 3 forms of contract (or similar)
- Generate and issue monthly reports, uploading them to CEMAR
- Update and distribute schedules on the same day as the monthly reports, also uploading them to CEMAR
- Send monthly Payment Assessments and supporting documents, uploading them to CEMAR
- Conduct monthly progress meetings with the customer
- Submit General Compensation Events and supporting costings, uploading them to CEMAR
