The Role Phoebus Software’s strategic vision of moving to a cloud-based offering for our clients, developing automated deployments internally and externally and enhancing our internal offering, Phoebus will need to grow our cloud team to stay ahead of the market and to meet our client demands.
You will be responsible for the support and maintenance of Phoebus’s Cloud infrastructure, architecture, and Implementation to adhere to Phoebus’s security best practices for cloud environments. You will be liaising with technical Architects to ensure quality of service is consistently provided and to share knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both developers and non-developers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
We are looking for somebody who can perform disaster recovery (DR) and failover testing on Phoebus’s cloud systems to test the build quality on service continuity and take responsiblity for capacity planning and proposing the required resources to existing various (VMware and AWS, Azure) virtual infrastructure such as No.of CPUs, claiming back Unused drive space and RAM.
About you We are looking for somebody who can display a professional ‘CAN DO' attitude that engenders confidence, respect, and support. Our ideal candidate would be able to meet the below criteria;
- Experience and knowledge of MS Azure, AWS and Private Clouds to build, test, and support a range of applications and series
- System administration and configuration management skills within an AWS and Azure environment
- Experience and knowledge of:
- VMware
- Windows Server and SQL Server
- Security standards such as ISO 27001
- Cloud migrations & Integration
- Proxy services
- An ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Experience working on technical projects within a team
- Working knowledge of Linux operating system
- Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools
