An Architect job is available in Southwark, London. This is an opportunity to work on higher education projects in London! You will be joining an employee-owned practice that offers hybrid working and a healthy work-life balance.

From innovative rail and transport work across the UK to state-of the-art higher-education facilities, they apply rigour and attention to detail, to the design and management of all their projects. Their innovative and collaborative approach is also supported by their cutting-edge application of new technologies in BIM.

Our client is now looking for an Architect or Experienced Part II Architectural Assistant to join them on a full-time, permanent basis in their Southwark office.

Role & Responsibilities

• You will be working on higher education, regeneration, and rail projects throughout the UK
• Working across RIBA stages 0 - 4
• Reporting to Project Leads throughout the project and mentoring more junior members of the team
• Client-facing responsibilities throughout the project.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 1 years UK professional working experience
• Recently qualified as Part III Architect or have a minimum of 2 years PQE as Part II Architectural Assistant, Technologists will also be considered
• Must have experience working on higher education, commercial and complex project types (no residential)
• Vectorworks experience is essential, candidate using it to BIM level is a bonus
• Good working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, and MS Office
• Thorough working knowledge of UK building regulations
• Ability to work within a small team, where good communication and coordination is key
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Have a flexible and committed attitude to work
• Clear and confident communicator with clients
• The ability to be able to work using your own initiative.
