Job description
The hiring company is a Surrey-based firm that provides comprehensive financial services to businesses and individuals. Specializing in both tax and accounting solutions, they offer a range of professional services tailored to meet the unique needs of its clients.They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and prepare corporate tax returns.
- Correspondence with clients and tax authorities.
- Prepare personal tax returns and information returns, as required.
- Lead and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
- Perform complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, implementing necessary updates.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation
- 2 to 3 years of public accounting with a focus on medium-sized clients.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
