Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy. As Commercial Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing valuable advice and assistance to both the Commercial team and the studentship team. You will be responsible for offering expert guidance on commercial matters, including drafting and evaluating commercial agreements. Additionally, you will handle the registration of documents, ensure proper arrangement of signatures, and manage filing procedures in accordance with established UKAEA protocols. Beyond your role within these teams, you will extend their support to the broader business by addressing commercial inquiries and effectively directing them to the relevant team member. This position demands a thorough understanding of commercial practices and procedures, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate and contribute to various aspects of the organization's commercial operations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Local Information Manager for the Commercial team.
- Coordinating and contributing to reviews of and improvements to Commercial procedures documents.
- Maintaining and developing the Commercial Nucleus page.
- Working with the rest of the commercial team to provide consistent and high-quality services across the whole of UKAEA.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- HNC or equivalent (including experience) in a technical, business or commercial discipline
- Have a discreet and professional approach to the sensitive and commercial information of the department
- IT literate, fluent in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritize work and work under pressure
- Be able to work autonomously, with initiative and minimum supervision
- Be flexible and able to work across several projects and in several different teams
- Commercial environment experience
Desirable:
- Previous technical administrative experience is desirable.
- Project Management / Support experience.
