What’s on Offer?
About the store
Specsavers in Hatfield first opened its doors in 1990. The store sits in a prominent position in the town centre pedestrianised precinct, alongside stores such as Boots and Asda.
This is 3 test room store, fully kitted out with the latest technology and equipment including OCT. One of these is a dual room, used for audiology services whilst serving as a spoke store for St Albans’ hub. A team of 8 dedicated colleagues call this store home and as the new Optometry Partner, you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.
The store is due to go through a full refit and rebranding which will modernise the store and provide another test room.
Location
Hatfield lies about 20 miles north of London so is a perfect commuter town for those working in the City. It’s the home of the University of Hertfordshire and The Galleria shopping centre. The project Hatfield 2030+ is a huge regeneration project to improve the town’s infrastructure, public spaces, the town centre itself and provide more housing of which 25% will be affordable housing.
With excellent transport connections, there’s a mainline railway station just 15 minutes’ walk from the store where a train to London takes around 40 minutes. The A1 runs very close to the town and the M1 and M25 are around 10 miles from Hatfield.
Requirements of the role
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, you’ll need to share the store’s ethos. They’re looking for someone who wants to grow and develop the team, offer exceptional customer care and improve patient outcomes. You’ll be a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach, and someone who is keen to get involved and build a rapport with their team. In summary, you’ll be a highly skilled Optometry professional willing and able to help drive the practice forward.
