Hours: 39 hours per week (08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 15:30 on Fridays, but flexibility required)

About us

Johnsons Nurseries is a three-generation family business located in North Yorkshire, equidistant between York and Harrogate, with 100 years experience in growing and supplying millions of trees, shrubs and plants to UK-wide planting schemes each year.

This is an exciting and varied role. You will be managing and coordinating all our goods’ movements within our supply chain. You’ll be route planning our vehicles, managing the use of our transport resources and working with all our stakeholders to ensure our products are where they should be at the required time.

Your main responsibilities:

• Carry out cost-effective planning of loads and routes to meet delivery times and budgets.
• Manage required transport resources, including trolleys and plant stillages, ensuring appropriate capacity is available.
• Work closely with all stakeholders including liaising with drivers and subcontractors to ensure appropriate knowledge is captured and shared.
• Someone with a can-do attitude and the ability to positively influence the outcome of challenges in the job role
• Adaptability to react to the ever-changing demands of the supply chain logistics
• Experience in transport planning in a commercial environment and communicating directly with drivers
