We currently have an opportunity for a Development Coordinator to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.

About the role:

As our Development Coordinator, you will develop applications for new water and sewer requisitions/diversion customers in accordance with industry guidance, service level requirements and Water Industry Act.This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Engineering to work as part of a large, hardworking and collaborative team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Representing South West Water at meetings with customers, developers and other interest groups to ensure SWW position is maintained and supported
• Delivering projects in line with the financial rules within the business and wider requirements of Ofwat/Water Industry Act
• Taking responsibility for the delivery of schemes under a design and construction in line with the Water Industry Act
• Holding effective cross functional relationships to support with the management of applications and onward delivery of schemes and working in accordance with our Service Level Agreements and target customer experience
• Ensuring that necessary details, consents and approved drawings are available to enable Legal and Property Services to deliver requisition agreements

What we are looking for:

• 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at grade C or above in Maths and English
• NVQ in Civil Engineering Level 3 – Construction in the build environment or similar
• Experience in Customer Service environment
• Experience in Design and Construction Clean and Waste apparatus
• Computing with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work within a team and liaise with staff at all levels
