HeadStart is based in the centre of Phuket Island and gained ‘International School’ status in 2010 and is a fully accredited International School with The Education Development Trust. In our most recent inspection, we were awarded the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) with accreditors recognising the school to be a ‘Good School with Outstanding Features’.

Our curriculum is based on the national curriculum of England and we offer Cambridge & Pearson qualifications in Secondary including IGCSEs, A Levels and BTECs. The school's main campus at Chaofah has 960 students on roll and is oversubscribed in most year groups.

In August 2023 we opened a new campus in the north of the island in Cherngtalay. This is a single form entry Foundation and Primary school for up to 200 students. In August 2024 the school will expand to become a two form entry school from Preschool to Year 9.

Dance Teacher –

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Dance teacher to join us in August 2024. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to share their expertise with students throughout primary and secondary, through our extra curricular programme, helping young people reach their full potential.

Our ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of multiple dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and tap. They will have experience teaching both group classes and private lessons, and be comfortable working with students of all skill levels.

In addition to technical proficiency, we're looking for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring their students and creating a fun, supportive learning environment. They should be able to motivate students to push themselves to new levels while ensuring that they are enjoying the process.

We are looking for a highly committed team player with drive, energy and passion, who will inspire a love of learning within their pupils. A good sense of humour and an excellent work ethic are essential.

Requirements / Application Details –

Essential Requirements:

· Dance teaching experience.

· Secure knowledge of and ability to teach multiple dance styles

· Strong communication skills.

· Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in the field of dance.

· Must be a fluent English speaker

Desirable Requirements (not essential):

· A dance teaching qualification

· Previous experience in an international school environment

· Experience of working with children who have English as an Additional Language

Remuneration Package:
