Learning Support Assistant

• Location: Haringey
• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Start date: ASAP
• Pay: £90-£105 per day

Schools in Haringey, North London and the surrounding areas are looking for Learning Support Assistant's for the rest of the academic year with the view to go on to a long-term placement into September.

Veritas Education are working with Ofsted 'Good' and 'Outstanding' schools in Haringey, North London, and the surrounding areas to offer a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills in the education sector in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant

• Working with children aged 11-16 operating classes in various subjects.
• Helping children with special educational needs
• Engaging with students for 4-5 periods
• Treating children with respect and kindness as a teaching assistant

Job Requirements to be a Learning Support Assistant:

• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN)
• Experience working with secondary school children (age 11-16) in some capacity
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable for a Graduate Teaching Assistant:

• An honours degree (preferably Upper Second) or equivalent
