SRG is working with a growing CRO based in Liverpool. We are looking for a Microbiologist to join the Microbiology team.

Job Title: Microbiologist

Vacancy type: Permanent

Area: Liverpool

Salary: £23k - £32k

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide support to the team for improved microbiological and biofilm methods
• Complete projects and report within an agreed timescale
• Support on client-based projects and complete within an agreed timescale
• Provide and support into the strategic innovation sector within microbiology/biofilms
• Form and validate reports for projects and discuss within the organisation.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System requirements in line with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 17025 and key skills in SOP development.

Skills Required:

• A higher degree in microbiology is essential including skills in other areas of biology and chemistry.
• 2+ years industrial experience in microbiology and product development relevant to the pharmaceutical, biofilm and/or medical device industry.
• Skills in the R&D of medical devices, biofilms, basic culture techniques, aseptic techniques and antimicrobial inhibitory/efficacy techniques.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System requirements in line with ISO 13485, ISO 17025 and ISO 9001.
• Good communication and written skills, with good attention to detail.
