Job description

A local authority based in East London is seeking a Housing Lawyer for three months initially. The successful Housing Lawyer will focus on the full range of housing matters. This is a temporary role.

The local authority is operating a hybrid working model so will require someone able to attend the office on an ad hoc basis alongside some remote working. The caseload will consist of disrepair, homelessness, anti-social behaviour, and possession proceedings. Local government experience is advantageous. Previous experience working as a Housing Lawyer within a busy housing department is essential.

Candidates must have a current practising certificate and be able to start work on no more than two weeks’ notice.
