Description
As a Passenger Assistant - Grade A, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and assistance to passengers at all stages of their journey. Your friendly and professional demeanor will ensure a positive experience for passengers, while also assisting with any queries or concerns they may have. This is a rewarding and dynamic position that requires you to be adaptable, proactive, and dedicated to providing the highest level of assistance to passengers.
Responsibilities
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
Provide information and guidance to passengers regarding routes, timetables, and ticketing options.
Handle passenger queries and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner, striving to resolve issues efficiently and to the satisfaction of the passenger.
Assist passengers with mobility needs, including providing wheelchair assistance and ensuring accessibility on vehicles.
Monitor passenger volumes and identify potential congestion or overcrowding issues, taking proactive measures to mitigate any impact on passenger experience.
Maintain accurate records of passenger interactions, complaints, and incidents, reporting any significant incidents or concerns to the appropriate authority.
Collaborate with colleagues, drivers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations, sharing relevant updates and information as necessary.
Requirements
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and find creative solutions to passenger queries and concerns.
Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role is highly desirable.
Knowledge of local transportation routes and services, or willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Physical fitness and the ability to assist passengers with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring individuals safely.
Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certifications related to passenger assistance and safety.

Pay Per Hour: £11.59
