The Organisation
Our client has asked us to help with the recruitment of a Group Financial Controller (3-4 days per week to be determined, permanent role). Our client is in the business of land and property management, including farming. The appointed candidate will ideally begin in May.
Role & Responsibilities
To provide full financial & management accounting support to the businesses and the family of our client. This includes sectors covering land & property development, arable farming, woodland management, property rental and trustee accounting. Responsibilities include:
- Providing relevant, timely and insightful information to the Managing Director and Board and reporting at Board meetings.
- Management and development of the financial system of ledgers, the accurate recording of transactions and ensuring robust financial control.
- Preparation of year end accounts for different entities, managing the year end processes and liaising with the external accountants to manage the statutory reporting and taxation processes.
- Preparation of management accounts and debtor management.
- Management of an accounts assistant.
The Desired Candidate
- Qualified Accountant.
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
- Hands on owner managed SME experience.
- Working knowledge of financial and management accounting, taxation and cashflow forecasting.
- Someone located in Market Harborough, Peterborough, Oundle, Wellingborough, Stamford, Kettering and surrounding areas would be preferred.
