days per week in the office) and fully remote for elsewhere in the UK/ROW.

Position
Summary:
We are seeking a
detail-oriented and experienced Data Steward to lead activities related to data
documentation, definition, education, and governance. The candidate will shape
how the organization interacts with, learns from, and uses its data. The individual
should possess a strong background in managing and ensuring quality, security,
and compliance of data assets. This role requires active collaboration across
the organization using process-oriented approaches and spearheading knowledge
management systems as the source of truth (e.g., Confluence, Secoda and JIRA).
Duties
and Responsibilities:
- Data Acquisition
- Collaborate closely with the data acquisition team to identify new
data sources to enhance current products and to develop new ones
- Validate ingested data against contracted expectations, assessing
and communicating downstream effects to the rest of the organization
- Product
- Ensure new data sets are expedited to the product, routinely used
and conduct assessments on data element usage to inform business decisions
- Collaborate with technical product specialist owners and
cross-functional teams to align data efforts with organizational goals
- Serve as expert to product functions related to data sources and
definitions
- Knowledge Management
- Prioritize and champion data documentation efforts, ensuring
comprehensive training on data sources, changes and enhancements used to
empower teams
- Owner development and implementation of internal data cataloguing
tool
- Collaborate with product owners to document data definitions,
business rules, definition owners followed by clear documentation of the
above
- Governance, Compliance, Quality
- Address data quality issues promptly and to completion; conducting
regular assessments to maintain highest standards
- Manage the entire data lifecycle (onboarding, access, usage,
retention, or disposal) and support data governance policy and procedure
development
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of robust data
security measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal
policies

detailed technical terms and maintain an appropriate knowledge level.
Knowledge
and Specialist Skills:
- Education – Bachelor's degree in computer
science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, advanced
degree preferred
- Experience – minimum 10 years' experience in
a similar data steward role ideally or with experience in similar role
handling bulk data import and export, and exposure to cloud based
warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Amazon Redshift and Google Bigquery
- Experience with healthcare , especially claims data is necessity
and diagnostic/lab data desired
- Certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data
Management Professional), a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
