The Government have just announced that Blackpool has secured £90m to support regeneration projects which will deliver genuine transformation in the quality of housing and the lives of Blackpool residents for years to come. Blackpool Housing Company is seeking an experienced and ambitious RICS Development Surveyor to play a leading role in shaping and delivering a unique, innovative and expansive housing-led regeneration programme in the very heart of Blackpool. You will join an accomplished and motivated team working alongside Blackpool Council and partners to prepare for and deliver a key regeneration programme aimed at Levelling Up some of the most deprived communities in England. You will have an interest in area-wide regeneration and experience in building and leading acquisition programmes working towards redevelopment. You will be an experienced valuer, be able to demonstrate key skills in negotiation, preparation of project cost estimates and budget control. You will have experience in the use of compulsory purchase powers and their application in property valuation and compensation. You will have a keen interest in and understanding of the key attributes to support an inclusive programme of regeneration and be keen to help prepare the next generation of professionals.
