Due to continued expansion, an exciting opportunity has opened for a Lead Subcontracts Specialist to join our Supply Chain Management Group ,in any of our main office locations.

The Supply Chain Management Group has the responsibility to develop SCM strategies and to engage the supply lines for designated materials and services. Comprehensive supply chain plans are at the basis of predictable project delivery.

We are looking for SCM professionals, in possession of significant construction industry experience, primarily in an offshore environment.

We particularly encourage people with the following background to apply for the role: Supply Chain Management, Legal / Contracts / Claims Management, Project / Commercial Management.

What you will be doing

A wide range of responsibilities, non-exhaustively listed below. 

• Supply Chain Management plans and subcontract development & delivery.
• Risk / opportunity management.
• Human Resource planning.
• Internal and external stakeholders management.
• Direct negotiations with selected suppliers
• Commercial analyses; normalization and bid evaluation. Incorporate technical evaluations from disciplines like Engineering, Planning, QHSE, Contracts / Legal, etc.
• Participate in internal gate review meetings.
• Bid summaries and recommendations for award.
• Post performance evaluations.

What you will bring to the team

• Bachelor level or equivalent in a technical, commercial or legal discipline
• Significant experience in a project management role, ideally within the construction and or maritime industry.
• Deep understanding of Supply Chain Management and Subcontracting processes
• Great communicator and negotiator, with the ability to converse in English in both written and spoken word at a very high level.
• Advanced user of contemporary software tools. SAP and Ariba experience would be beneficial
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to focus teams and the business.
