As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the production of the monthly accounts for two of the Quaker Houghton UK group companies and working closely with the Financial Controllers. Tasks

What will you do

To provide timely financial information this will involve being responsible for certain balance sheet accounts for both businesses including preparation of reconciliations. There will be an involvement in monthly accounts quarterly accounts and year end accounts.

• Preparations of bank reconciliations.
• Maintenance of fixed asset register
• Reconciliation of control accounts and back up schedules
• Review of prepayments and accruals and adjust where necessary
• Reconciliation of all intercompany accounts
• Monthly journals as required
• Involvement with year end audit where required
• CIS returns (where applicable)
• Invoicing on contracts
• Banking
• And other support tasks as required by the Financial Controllers.

Requirements

What do we look for

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a similar accounting role. Any additional training needed will be provided.

Language: English professional level is a must.

Location: Based within reasonable commute to Coventry we offer a hybrid working schedule.
