Berry Recruitment is hiring! We require Chef De Partie's to work for our client in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Salary: £30,000
Job details: Permanent
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Hours: 42.5 hours, 5 in 7 days
Shifts : See below
Predominately - Early - 6.30am - 15.00pm or a Late 10.30am - 19.30pm
The occasional Middle shift - 09.00am - 18.00pm
Mainly straight shifts - occasional split, prior notice givenStart date: ASAP
About the role:
As the Chef De Partie, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Head Chef in the daily production of all meals
Ensuring a constant supply of meals to all areas during service.
Keeping a check on quantities and temperatures of food in hot plates etc., recording particulars on relevant forms, informing the Head Chef on any probable shortfall in any particular dish.
Ensuring that any food samples and leftovers are correctly processed and stored.
Assisting with any special requirements i.e. buffets, conferences etc., as and when required.
Ensuring that any food to be left in the main coldrooms and freezer are stored correctly and tidily.
Ensuring that all ovens and stoves etc. are turned off at the end of the day.
Reporting hazards or breakdowns of equipment.
Undertake any training relevant to the position of Chef de Partie

You will be a strong team player who is able to lead by example and be committed to achieving exemplary standards
Highly skilled and will assist in the preparation and cooking of food
Passion for food you will have good organisational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure
