Advanced Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: Easter 2024
Salary: £90 – £105 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are seeking an Advanced Teaching Assistant to work at client school in York, North Yorkshire starting in April 2024 . This position is ideal for individuals who aspire to make a significant difference in the lives of students and contribute to their educational journey.
Advanced Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Working under the direction of the class teacher to assist in the planning and delivery of the curriculum.
- Working across different classes to provide 1:1 and small group support to provide additional support to identified pupils.
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- At times you may support pupils with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP), so you should be aware of additional needs such as autism and learning difficulties.
- Assist in creating and implementing educational resources and materials.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Supervise students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Contribute to the overall school community through active participation.
Advanced Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and certifications as a Teaching Assistant.
- Experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of classroom dynamics and student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference.
- Ability to adapt and work collaboratively in a dynamic educational environment.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
