Operating within the 25years Hounslow Highways PFI, the Design and Construction Team is responsible for delivering all the capital and planned improvement works within the London Borough of Hounslow. This includes, Lining and Signing work, Accessibility schemes, Urban Realm Improvement schemes, Sustainable schemes (walking, cycling, public transport), Capital maintenance works on structures, street lighting improvements, Major resurfacing and footway relay schemes.

Key Responsibilities; 
•Take the lead on managing and delivering traffic engineering and highway improvement schemes as directed by the D&C Manager. Tasks including but not limited to:
oReceive and respond to client briefs
oPrice, programme and manage the delivery of schemes. 
oAll matters related to Health and Safety on Site and CDM.
oFinances
oQuality control and technical sign offs/approvals
oClient, stakeholder and third parties liaison and correspondence.
oContractual administration and preparation of the relevant site documents
oRoutine audits and inspection
oSite measures
oSite completion and sign-off
•Take the lead and represent the Design and Construction Manager when requested at various meetings with both Client and supply chain partners. 
•Motivate self and others.
•Take an active role in the development and management of junior members of the team and graduates placement as and when appropriate.
•Provide technical support and offer practical solutions to resolve challenges encountered during the construction phase.
•Actively foster positive staff morale.
•Willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management.

Ideal Candidate; 
• Degree or HND level in Civil Engineering or demonstrable equivalent breadth of experience in the industry
• Experience managing the implementation of traffic/highway engineering scheme including the technical, H&S, communication, and financial aspects of projects for a contracting company
• Demonstrable experience in working in a contractual environment (preferably NEC contract)
• Full clean driving license 
• Problem Solver on a wide range of potentially complex matters
