Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.
We are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to work closely with the HR Manager; this is a key role within the People team, where you will be primarily responsible for successfully delivering end to end recruitment for both paid and volunteer roles. You will collaborate with the wider People team and liaising with a variety of stakeholders including Directors, Heads of, Hiring managers and internal/external candidates.
In delivering the role, you will act as the first point of contact for recruitment, working out of the recruitment and volunteer email inboxes. You will liaise with managers on their recruitment needs, working alongside and supporting them to follow processes, advising on Safer Recruitment, best practice and manage timeframes. You will be pro-active in your thinking and delivery, naturally identifying ways to improve existing process and establish new approaches.
As part of this role, when required, you will work alongside the other HR Administrator, supporting with administrative and transactional tasks, ensuring we deliver a professional, compassionate and efficient service across the organisation.
This is a hybrid role with an expectation of three days on site and two days from home - working Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm and Friday, 9am to 4.30pm.
ABOUT YOU: We know there are great candidates who may not fit everything described, or who have important skills we have not mentioned. If that is you, please do not hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself and why perhaps you are looking to take the next step.
We are looking for someone with relevant experience in a recruitment role or HR team, or as an experienced administrator. You will be able to pragmatically manage a highly variable workload with competing priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail, delivering to deadlines and the ability to self-motivate.
You will be an effective communicator at all levels with both colleagues and external stakeholders with integrity. You will be handling confidential information and data, where organisational skills are key. In addition, you will be able to flex your style and approach based on what is needed, with a pragmatic approach. Your experience in HR/administrative roles, will enable you to know when to ask for support and when to flag potential issues.
