Job description
This unique role will give you the responsibility of selling/specifying the company’s range of flat roofing products which is a patented system that complies with new building regulations, ensuring a flat roof can drain water quickly after extreme events yet drain slowly in a controlled way to mitigate the effects of downstream flooding. This system was launched 18 months ago and now requires a dedicated Business Development Manager to drive forward and further grow a brand-new division within this leading Manufacturer. This individual will be focusing 100% on newbuild projects in London, gaining specification via Architects and Main Contractors then following projects through to completion via Sub-Contractors. This individual will be presenting CPD’s and selling at regional offices and practices together with offering any on site support when required, which will include being on a roof. The successful individual will also be sourcing new partners (flat roofing and waterproofing/membrane manufacturers) to partner with on projects. 90% of projects are newbuild, new regulations in London demand new roofs have systems such as these. Occasionally there will be need to work on some refurbishment projects dealing with surveyors. You will be given a good level of internal support who will assist you by sourcing new business / leads via Barbour/Glenigans. This role has been created due to significant investment and the division is expected to grow significantly over the coming years and presents a fantastic opportunity for development and progression. The area has a strong focus on London but includes the South East.

My client is looking for a seasoned flat roofing salesperson who can hit the ground running. If you are not directly from flat roofing you must be closely related, such as flat roof insulation, waterproofing, membranes etc. If you have been exposed to new build projects that will give you a strong advantage. You need to understand how a flat roofing system works. You must be commutable into London and be able to work autonomously.
