Life as a Leightons Pulse Optometrist

This is a brand new, exciting opportunity to become one of the clinical leads for our patients journeys; and an ambassador for the Leightons Estate. A Pulse team member offers a unique blend of branch support coupled with extra responsibilities that contribute to the learning and development of our practice teams.

Below are just some of the responsibilities that will be covered in this role, which are ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their Optometry journey.

Providing clinical cover to the Leightons' estate Being a unique voice between branches to ensure clinical standards are maintained Inducting new starters into the business Conducting experience days as part of our interview process for new staff members Supporting the creation of modules for our online learning system in partnership with the Learning and Development team Providing on-going training and support to our existing Optometrists

We stock a wide range of frames and accessories from top brands accordingly. All of our dispenses are carried out by qualified Dispensing Opticians. This means that our patients have the ultimate clinical experience as well as creating handovers with confidence. We provide all of our patients with a 30 minute eye examination. This is backed by a comprehensive 15 minute pre-screening which is completed by one of our OHA's.
• All of our practices are equipped with OCTs alongside the majority of our practices equipped with Optomap.

Am I suitable?

Travel is a necessity within our Pulse Team, so you must have a full UK driving license and be comfortable commuting to the following practices; Poole, Christchurch, Southampton, Chandlers Ford, Winchester, Burnham-On-Sea and Andover. This is one of the highlights of the role, enabling you to meet a diverse range of Leightons staff members and patients within an ever-changing landscape.
