Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Being the first point of contact for patients and customers entering the pharmacy
- Processing the sale of over-the-counter medicines, goods and taking payments for prescriptions
- Working alongside experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Calling suppliers to order medicines and goods and for stock availability
- Learning about medication, dispensing, health services and patient care
- Booking patients in for consultations and health services
- Merchandising of stock and medicines on the shop floor
- Contributing to a positive and supportive working environment
The training you will be getting
- Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
- Ongoing training relating to health care and the pharmaceutical industry
- Off the job training
- Training and learning to be provided in the workplace
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- The pharmacy is part of a group of pharmacies. For the right apprentice/s, there will be the opportunity to be remain within the business as a qualified Counter Assistant
