Job Description
Reporting to the Manufacturing Leader you will be a key member of the manufacturing team. You will undertake daily operations and supervision of staff within your key area to ensure reliable and consistent output against agreed KPI’s for Rotating Machines, Rugby.
Essential Responsibilities
- Daily supervision and assignment of work duties to meet monthly production targets
- Ensure EHS & Quality Targets are achieved
- Provide managerial support to assigned production personnel
- Provision of work reports as required to Manufacturing Manager.
- Efficiency, utilisation, manpower planning
- Monitor the cost compare to budget
- Working with Fulfilment, and Engineering departments to meet all production and design requirements
- Gain a good understanding of the processes
- Driving a lean process, including 5S, waste elimination workshops and improving efficiency’
- Manage development and training of assigned staff including annual skills
- grading and discussions
- Managing employee relations of assigned staff as required
- Manage contractor requirements
- Provide cover for peers on as needs basis
- Undertake any other assigned reasonable management requests
This is not an extensive list. The role may evolve to incorporate other tasks according to the business’ requirement.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred but not essential
- Experience in Manufacturing environment, ideally within rotating machines
- Experience of managing a team with the ability to plan and organise the team's work in order to ensure multiple tasks can be prioritised and delivered on time.
- Ability to work to deadlines to meet on time delivery
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good computer literacy skills
