Senior Structural Engineer
Southampton
£55,000 – £65,000 plus bonus
You’ve been designing buildings for a few years now, whether that’s in a small practice, or even in a larger, more corporate environment.
What you’re looking for now is the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in an environment that can accelerate your career. One that can give you a slice of the proverbial pie.
You’ll be the office lead and first person through the door of the new Southampton office – the practice having expanded from their base in Oxfordshire on the back of securing a lot of work on the south coast. You’ll grasp the opportunity to build a team around you as the work continues to come in.
If you’re not already, you’ll want to become chartered. But you need to be in a company that can support your goals, whilst offering you the chance to work on larger, more complex projects.
Working closely with the Directors, you’ll take a lead role on projects as well as assisting with the development of junior members of the team, including graduates and apprentices.
You’ll be designing on schemes up to £50m in value – from schools and hospitals, to high-profile mixed use developments. Always with a focus on sustainable design, with a view to reducing carbon footprint and extending life cycle.
