Job Profile for Enclosure Assembly Technician - MC268219
Enclosure Assembly Technician required based in Laindon, Essex in a purpose-built design, engineering and headquarters building with 70 employees at this site.
The majority of our business is the design and assembly of filling and packaging lines for
aerosols, specialising in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
The basic equipment is made by our principals in Europe. The company incorporates this and
other machines into the lines, linking them with our design conveyors, enclosures, air
handling, electrical control systems and ancillary equipment.
All panel building, wiring, and PLC programming is done on-site, and various other
departments specialise in pneumatics can handle and guard building, machining, machine
assembly, commissioning, and documentation.
Enclosure Assembly Technician Position Overview
We are looking to appoint an Enclosure Assembly Technician to assist in the machining,
manufacturing and build-up of enclosures, equipment and machinery on our factory floor.
The enclosure assembly role is varied and requires machining, fitting, assembly and fault
finding skills. Keen attention to detail and careful handling of the specialist materials is
essential. Ability to maintain focus and care when actioning the tasks of higher repetition
will be essential.
Some of the typical duties are as follows: -
- Preparation of base materials, machining and lock assembly.
- Assembling frameworks and fitting to machinery lines.
- Dis-assembly of tested lines and preparation of items ready for transport and assembly at
customers sites
- Small amount of pneumatic assembly
- Assembly, commissioning, support and service work at customers' sites
A certain amount of travel may be required to support installation to our worldwide
customer base.
Enclosure Assembly Technician Position Requirements
Good basic engineering skills
- Able to interpret equipment assembly drawings and maintain the high-quality finish and
output levels expected by our customers.
- Proven teamworking, attention to detail and good problem solver
- Practical engineering experience, particularly in mechanical assembly and machining
- Able to operate within the requirements of good health and safety discipline.
- Recognised Engineering certification/apprenticeship
Enclosure Assembly Technician Position Remuneration
Training will be provided to familiarise the successful applicant with the specialist
machinery and equipment we supply. The successful applicant will also be eligible for a
pension scheme and other generous benefits.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience (£35k-£40k)
