Based just a few miles from the M1 & M62 motorways in LEEDS , the successful CNC Production Engineer will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Pontefract, Castleford, Selby, Wetherby, Dewsbury and Halifax.
Key responsibilities of the CNC Production Engineer:
- Working within a busy spare & replacement component manufacturing environment, specifically responsible for the routing & scheduling of high tolerance machined parts
- Reviewing technical drawings and deciding on the most efficient method & routing of machined parts, including addition tooling auxiliary equipment
- Continuously ensuring that front end tooling is available at the point of manufacture
- Effectively using SAP to ensure accurate recording of schedules
- Attending a variety of meetings (kick-off, tool box talks etc) to ensure overall awareness of manufacturing progress & output
For the CNC Production Engineer position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess the following:
- IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: Possess formal qualifications within a relevant discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND etc.)
- Previous experience working in a similar position, ideally within a high tolerance manufacturing/machining environment
- IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: Strong technical knowledge of machining processes, specifically operation & program times/cycles
- Strong computer/IT skills with previous experience using ERM/MRP systems (ideally SAP)
Working Hours of the CNC Production Engineer:
37.5 Hours per week with flexible start time offered.
- Core Hours: 10:00 – 15:30 Monday to Thursday / 10:00 to 14:30 Friday
- Earliest Start: 07:00
In return, the successful CNC Production Engineer will receive:
- Annual Salary: Between £43,500.00 – £48,500.00
- Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including public holidays
- Generous Pension Scheme: 15% Combined Contribution (9% Employer / 6% Employee)
- Company Wide Annual Bonus (subject to company financial performance) – previously paid up to £1,700.00
