Role Purpose
The Senior Laboratory Compliance Co-Ordinator role will support the QC Operations required for In-house Sequencing (IHS) withing the Sequencing Team at our Hammersmith facility.
You will be required to lead laboratory compliance, Health and Safety, material management, equipment maintenance and calibration activities across the Sequencing lab areas, taking ownership and responsibility in ensuring the QC laboratory areas and equipment are being maintained to GMP standards.
Responsibilities
- Be first point of contact for IHS Laboratory compliance activities.
- Work closely with the TS/PD Lab operation teams at Hammersmith.
- Oversee and manage the equipment and facility PPM/calibration activities in the IHS lab areas, working with Process Development and Translational Science Lab Ops for any equipment that is shared use.
- Take responsibility for IHS laboratory compliance, performing routine checks, identify, reporting and resolving non-compliance issues.
- Lead on the review and approval of laboratory logbooks.
- Work with Process Development and Translational Science Lab Ops team to ensure Laboratory Health and Safety in IHS lab areas.
- Present in the weekly team meeting updating the team on Lab compliance and H&S.
- Point of contact with QA document control for document issue and recall.
- Communicate effectively with the QC Operations and Sequencing team to get required information to resolve compliance and H&S findings.
- Support Validation with periodic review of equipment.
- Lead on management of IHS material to include ordering, receiving, GMP release checks and stock management.
- Oversight of environmental monitoring of critical IHS equipment, working with the Process Development and Translational Science Laboratory Ops team.
- Work with Process Development and Translational Science teams to ensure staff are appropriately trained in new GMP procedures and any associated documentation is updated.
Requirements
- Experience working in a GMP environment and fully conversant in current GMP regulations.
- Knowledge of Laboratory Health and Safety requirements.
- Experience in overseeing laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration activities.
- Ability to write/ review and implement standard Operating Procedures for Lab Management/ Maintenance activities.
- Experience providing training in Standard Operating Procedures.
- Experience solving unexpected laboratory issues.
- Proactively working to prevent and solve problems.
- Responsible and reliable.
