Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity to join the community development team working alongside a full-time Grants Officer to support the management and delivery of our grant programmes including: Main Grants, Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL), Arts & Culture and other grant programmes.
Ensure the effective management and maintenance of the division's payment systems relating to grants and other financial payment systems. Lead the communication with the voluntary and community sector to ensure they are fully appraised of council activity and external funding opportunities.
Act as a primary point of contact for external organisations or individuals seeking information on the community approach to the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy.
To manage the service’s grants processes, including correspondence and promotion, co-ordinating the production of grant aid application and award documents, maintaining databases, and ensuring assessments are processed within deadlines.
To be responsible for and manage the grant monitoring processes, liaising with lead officers and service managers as appropriate. Ensure that monitoring systems for grant aid are efficient and proportionate to the level of risk to the council. Ensure that officers and organisations submit appropriate monitoring on time.
What’s the role?
The post holder will provide administrative and organisational support for our grant programmes including: Main Grants, Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) programmes, Arts & Culture and to be a key contact for grant recipients.
The role will involve working closely with the community development grants officer, community development team officers, voluntary and community sector organisations, community centres and colleagues across the council. This role is part-time, 21 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about local communities and the voluntary and community sector. An experienced self-starting administrator with excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively and manage a varied workload.
Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

£37,575 - £38,769 per annum pro-rata (SO1)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
