Cat C HIAB.   Farnborough.  £31,000 to £36,000 depending on experience

Driver Hire is recruiting for an experienced Cat C driver with Hook HIAB certification.  Ideally the D1 accreditation (this is the higher rating than the more common C1)

Our client supplies water pumping, heating and cooling systems to cover a variety of needs, locations and applications.  They provide equipment on hire for both planned and emergency situations.

The successful driver will usually only collect or deliver up to 6 units per day.  They are based in Farnborough, and deliver to a region that includes the South East, Greater London and down to the South Coast.  You will be experienced in use of the HIAB and have at least 6 months Cat C experience.  Deliveries are made to a variety of locations, including construction sites, hospitals, schools, prisons, office blocks and so on.

They can trace their origins back to 1857 and now have 30 depots located throughout the UK and Ireland.  You would join 300 other employees.

• £31,000 to £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• After a three month temp to perm period
• 4 weeks’ holiday per year, plus Bank Holidays
• 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
• Typically 7am start, but you must be flexible depending on the day
• Overtime often required

**** Responsibilities of the HGV Class 2, Cat C HIAB Driver ****

• Perform daily vehicle inspection checks
• Supervise the safe loading of your vehicle
• Deliver a range of pumps and HVAC units
• Use the HMF 28 tm lorry mounted crane safely at all times
• Keep all paperwork accurate and up to date
• Liaise with engineers and customers, updating them with delivery times or delays
• Adhere to all drivers’ hours and working time regulations

**** Requirements of the HGV Class 2, Cat C HIAB Driver ****

• Cat C licence
• CPC card
• Digi tacho card
• HIAB card with Hook attachment (ideally D1)
• Previous related delivery experience
• Verifiable references
