What you will do in your working day

- Daily preparation of fish and seafood
- Making desserts, some meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes
- Buffets/small weddings and celebration catering as well as tapas dish preparation for the wine bar next door
- Also learning the health and safety management of the establishment
- Learning kitchen skills
- Chopping, prepping and serving
- Helping to prep our menu daily
- Helping maintain kitchen standards and stores
- Assist with kitchen equipment standard checks
- Assist with food preparation
The training you will be getting
- Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship standard
- Level 2 CG NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery
- Functional Skills up to Level 2 in English and maths as required
- Day release to college
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Progression to full time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and end point assessment.
