About Our Client
The client is a rapidly growing consultancy organisation - they have grown to roughly 3000 employees with a number of offices nationwide. This Regional HR Advisor will be predominantly based out of the Stevenage office, and will require occasional travel between the Home Counties (Hertfordshire, Essex, Bedfordshire, Hampshire - circa 400 employees). The client are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to work alongside their HR Business Partner to look after Employee Relations, Performance and Reward, Resource and Talent Planning, Organisational Design and other HR activities. Candidates should have a solid background in handling a high volume of ER cases, including complex disciplinaries and grievances.
Job Description
As a Regional HR Advisor, your key responsibilities will be:
- Develop constructive relationships with colleagues and management teams which foster an environment conducive to the early escalation of issues/ concerns so that they can be resolved in a timely informal manner
- Monitor sickness and absence rates
- Carry out employee relations investigations from start to finish
- Provide pro-active and reactive support to line management through the delivery of appropriate coaching and training to ensure that management are capable of delivering effective and timely performance management interventions.
- Monitor employee probations
- Provide advice and guidance to managers regarding any performance issues
- Work with the recruitment team to ensure that recruitment and selection processes are delivered to company standards
- Work the the HR Business Partner on desired organisational changes and the best, most cost-effective methods of achieving these
- Support management through consultation activities
- Support on the TUPE in and TUPE out of employees when necessary
- Other HR related activities as and when required
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will:
- Be based locally to Stevenage and able to commute at least 2/3 times per week
- Able to commute regionally within the Home Counties, circa once a week (travel and accommodation will be expendable)
- Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards
- Extensive background within a HR Generalist role, with experience supporting and advising line managers on a range of employee relations cases
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
