An Ofsted Outstanding secondary school located in Camden is seeking a SENCO to work on a full-time basis in ASAP

The ideal SENCO teacher will be qualified, have a degree related to SENCO subject and be a passionate educator.

The ideal SENCO teacher will be joining a strong team. The SEN department are made up of a SENCO, Deputy SENCO and 9 Teaching Assistants as well as being line managed by an Assistant Head who is a SENCo.

The current SENCOs current Deputy SENCO is a strong leader, very passionate about her role at the school and would do a great handover.

The Headteacher is seeking a teacher who can support and sustain effective SEN whole school teaching, evaluating the quality of teaching and standards of pupils' achievement, and setting targets for improvement. The ideal SENCO will be someone who will engage with external agencies e.g. Ed Psych, Speech and Language service, Early Help; LEA, etc. and facilitate opportunities for external agencies to work with students and staff when appropriate. Coordinate and impellent and evaluate interventions.

Few areas from the JD - Personal Spec, attributes, and personality for the SENCO role:
- Draw up and implement the school's SEND code of Practice.
- Managing the EHCP paperwork in liaison with the SENDCO, and student-parent-teacher relationships.
- Solid experience work with students that may present with both educational and behavioural difficulties e.g. Dyslexia, Autism, and ADHD
- To oversee and support the assessment of students as requested by external examination bodies, SEND areas and school procedures
- SENDCO (who is based on the main boys site)
- A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
- A clear passion for SEN teaching.

- Qualified to work in the UK
- QTS or equivalent
- Evidence of substantial and relevant CPD related to SEN

PAY AND TERMS OF CONTRACT:
- The role is a permanent job and will be paid in line with your pay scale
