My client is a top 100 UK law firm and has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to become a key member of their thriving Employment team at their newly opened Manchester office. Their North West presence is expanding, and they are particularly focused on bolstering their team in the vibrant city of Manchester.
The Firm:
With offices in London and Bristol, the firm is a prominent player in Employment and HR advisory services. Their dedicated teams handle a comprehensive range of employment-related matters, including expertise in data protection issues and business immigration.
The Role:
As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in growing and developing the Manchester Employment team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining exceptional client service standards, showcasing market/sector knowledge, and eventually taking on line management responsibilities for a small team as you build a strong client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage and deliver work on individual matters, ensuring profitability and appropriate resource allocation.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients and referrers, exceeding service expectations, and contributing to the management and development of key clients.
- Identify and manage external experts or consultants when needed.
- Establish a profile as a recognized expert in the field.
- Contribute to the departmental business plan, implement innovative ideas, and demonstrate new business success through proactive BD activities.
- Expand your network of clients and referrers, supporting partners in pursuing target clients and building a pipeline of new business.
The Candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 5+ PQE.
- Proven track record in an Employment team.
- Strong client management skills, emphasising excellent service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to win new business through successful BD activities.
- Capacity to supervise and line manage a small team.
- Solid business plan for growth within the department/sector.
