Multi Trades Recruitment are looking for a Caretaker to work within a office building in Chester.
Shift Pattern: Rotational shift pattern:
- Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 2:30pm
- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 8:00pm
About Us:
We are a dedicated team committed to maintaining the operational efficiency and security of council buildings within the borough of Cheshire West and Chester. As a Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities and providing a safe environment for staff, members, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain council buildings, ensuring all security arrangements are in place for staff, members, and visitors.
- Perform portering duties, including checking fire and alarm systems and assisting in fire evacuations when necessary.
- Monitor staff car parks, validating staff passes as needed.
- Maintain stocks and provisions throughout council buildings.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks using various light hand tools.
- Coordinate with contractors and engineers on-site.
- Prepare meeting rooms for events and functions, ensuring equipment is operational.
- Participate in ceremonial occasions and attend upon the Sheriff or Lord Mayor and Mayor when required.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Account Manager/Workplace Solutions Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks and ability to use light hand tools.
- Willingness to work a rotational shift pattern.
