As a Nursery Assistant, you will help deliver quality care, ensure children's safety and help provide a stimulating and fun play environment. You will be working as part of a team under a Room Supervisor and wider management to ensure child safety and quality of care for all children..
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Nursery team in delivering the daily care and education of the children.
- Helping to plan and implement a range of stimulating activities.
- Supporting the health and safety of the children at all times.
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers.
- Maintaining accurate records and observations of the children's development.
- Adhering to the Nursery's policies and procedures including child protection and safeguarding.
- Undertaking any other duties as required by the Nursery Manager.
- Serve meals and snacks to children.
- Monitor children during naptime.
- Communicate with parents about their child's day.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Must have a Level 2 or equivalent childcare qualification or be willing to complete a childcare course.
- Must be able to work as a team player.
- A willingness to learn and undertake further training as required.
- Attend child protection and first aid training.
- Undertake Access NI, Health Declaration and Trust Check to be cleared to work with children.

Although this is a full-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
Wage: £17,700 per annum
