Job description
An opportunity has arisen with an international business based on the outskirts of Cambridge, who are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager on an initial 6-month, fixed term contract.
The role is required to capture a handover from someone who is leaving and to provide cover whilst the role is recruited on a permanent basis. It could therefore potentially become permanent for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is responsible for the following duties;
- Production of management accounts, including transactional and month-end accounts processing
- Review and sign off all reconciliations
- Lead contact for audit and tax work and management of all audit and corporate tax requirements
- Prepare/finalise statutory accounts in conjunction with local accountants
- Supervise and sign off payroll processing and manage year end reporting requirements
- Drive Analysis of operating costs and support budget holders in managing expenditure
- Support and drive process improvements in transactional processing work
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
The successful candidate will be qualified – ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with relevant post qualification experience. You will have strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, charts, look-ups and external data links. In addition, you will have strong analytical skills with experience of reviewing, analysing, and cleansing data.
You will be confident and experienced enough to work autonomously with limited supervision and have the credibility to deal with senior stakeholders.
