Role Purpose:
The role will provide critical support to the Chief Operating Officer through the Transformation phase of our operations. The Business Manager will foster strong relationships across all key stakeholder groups, building confidence in Allwyn’s capability to deliver our bid commitments and drive performance.
Requirements
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide executive support to the Chief Operating Officer and his direct reports.
- Assist by attending meetings alongside, the Chief Operating Officer, capturing actions, feedback and decisions required, directing these back to the appropriate business owner and ensuring their completion.
- Follow up on actions on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer, and support in prioritising activities and meetings to align to the overall business strategy.
- Provide critical insight into any potential issues across the Transformation Programme that the Chief Operating Officer should be aware of.
- Lead on engagement with the Gambling Commission in support of the COO, including preparation of Minutes, Actions and Presentation decks for the Transition Governance Boards
- Lead on the coordination of the Transition Programme Board, including preparation of Minutes, Actions and Presentation decks, coordinating activity with the PMO and other functional areas as required.
- Support in the preparation of the Transformation update at the monthly AEL Board, liaising with the Head of Corporate Governance/ co-sec on minutes, timings and agenda.
- Support the COO in developing and implementing the ATP, helping manage the budget and key subcontractor relationships.
- Support in the management of resources from key Transition suppliers.
- Provide the framework for the Transformation Team site, providing regular updates and cascade of information as required.
- Assist the COO with the onboarding of key resources, working with the People team to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
- Support in the aggregation of key messages for business updates (e.g. All-In, Newsletter, Town Hall), working alongside the CEO support team
Key Measures of Success:
- Successful delegation of tasks to the correct functions/ programmes/ teams within the business to ensure a highly coordinated delivery, with accurate and on time messaging back to key stakeholders , including the Gambling Commission.
- Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, particularly the Gambling Commission and external suppliers
- Positive relationships with all members of the Executive and the Transformation Leadership team
- Able to proactively identify any potential risks and issues and provide appropriate mitigation
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in developing partnerships.
- Excellent presentation skills, to funnel clear and concise messaging across the business
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with a professional approach.
- Effective people management and leadership skills.
- Tried and tested influencing skills.
- Sound budget management experience and ability to produce reports as required.
- Be a team player who can work towards a wider goal.
