Personal Assistant- Chorley area

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support a young adult man who has autism and moderate learning disability to access sporting opportunities in the community.

As a Personal Assistant your duties will include support to access indoor and outdoor sporting opportunities including golf, swimming, water sports, social opportunities in the community including eating and drinking out.
You will be required to work with the young man to source opportunities for him to join mainstream sporting and social groups and encourage the formation of new friends and friendship groups. You would be available to support him in his volunteer roles and assist him to look for part time work.
This is an exciting opportunity to assist the young man to forge long lasting friendships and good community links and pass on good social skills.
We are looking for a caring, proactive and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential, but a positive attitude and good work ethic is essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A driver with a full clean license is required and you must have access to your own vehicle.

This is a part time position for 10 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme. Mileage reimbursement and expenses available. For further information and duties, please contact us to obtain the full job description.
