Job description

We are recruiting Administrative Assistants at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 18.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: Office based – Tredomen / North Resource Centre

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Adult Services.

We pay an attractive salary of £12,147 - £12,989.50 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The post requires the applicant to provide day to day administrative support to the Team Manager, Senior Social Workers, Social Workers and Support Staff.

This is a very busy Service area, requiring effective, efficient admin and communication skills. Minute taking updating the CCBC database ordering of stationary etc. Full training will be delivered on appointment.

There is an agile working policy between home and the office base, to be agreed with the Manager.

A laptop will be issued to enable home working once full training is completed and all parties are confident to undertake remote working.

For the role, we ask that you have:
5 GCSEs A*-C or equivalent Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. Or Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example: Business Administration.
Knowledge of administrative systems and procedures
Evidence of working in an office environment.
